GANTON STREET

Suspended over Ganton Street since 2013 is a canopy of 51 oversized light bulbs making for an iconic and amazing permanent light installation. The kernel of the idea and subsequent inspiration came from reading about an artist living in New York who had literally filled his apartment just with light bulbs of different sizes! Strange but true!

Most recently featuring with the Plug and Socket as part of London Lumiere in 2018, it is a completely interactive, contemporary lighting installation that can be programmed to display an unlimited variety of colours and a vast range of animated sequences. All from an iPhone!
